Olde Tudor Painting

Jon Gummer and his crew at Olde Tudor Painting have refreshed the painted trim on my stucco house over the years. Recently, when I installed mini-splits in the house, I was left with glaringly white pipes on the exterior connecting to the compressor. Jon quickly responded to my call, helped me choose a color to camouflage the pipes, and did the painting himself expertly and efficiently. I highly recommend his services.

He even noticed that a cabinet door was scraping the ceiling and could damage the fresh paint and offered to take the door down and sand it to prevent future issues. That level of care really stood out.Overall, Jon painted with precision, took pride in his work, and delivered a high-quality result. Jon Gummer, and Olde Tudor Painting, has handled all of my painting needs in Jamaica Plain for several years now, most notably painting the entire exterior of my house a few years back, and it still looks amazing! More recently Jon took on some "smaller" jobs—though no less complicated—including a ceiling repair, the spray-application of paint on a craggy stone wall in my finished basement, and both exterior/entryway doors. Jon is friendly, prompt and absolutely professional!

I am color blind. Jon talked me down from the ledge of canary yellow. Then he was very patient as I pretended to know what I was doing during color selection. He not only managed to straighten me out, but then he and his crew went on to work in a way that left us with a very attractive home. We are happy. Still colorblind though.

I had Jon come do a lot of interior paint work when I bought my condo last year. He did a great job and was great to work with. We liked the work so much, we had him do the exterior as well for a full makeover (it was badly needed), and the result was fantastic. Jon was on time, on budget, and as always, great to work with.

Jon's work is wonderful. He's creative, meticulous, and has a great attention to the small details. We have an older place and in addition to painting, he also had to do a lot of wood restoration on some old window sills and old walls. He was working with us at the very start of the pandemic when I had to switch to working at home. He was conscientious of making loud sanding noises when I had to be on the phone for work and about the new health rules. We really appreciated the advice he provided on colors based on his years of experience. We'd work with him many times again! Thanks for being our partner in paint.

Jon painted the outside of our 1930's colonial wood house and he did an excellent job. He submitted a very reasonable bid and completed the work on budget. Olde Tudor painted one half of our building. The job was completed in a timely manner and cost effectively.
